The Early Light of Dawn - Poem

I awoke as dawn was breaking, on a bright and bountiful day,
The sunlight streamed in to the room, a path to light my way.
The beam of light did beckon; as it beamed it towed me on,
To my front door in haste I rushed before this sight was gone.

I stood in awe of a stunning sight, what marvels God had wrought,
His splendid power projects to us, to Him a mere and trivial thought.
Its glow is felt across the land, life's bountiful light as seen by all,
Every creature that sleeps at night has heard God's wake up call.

The smells of life are everywhere, the trees, the grass, the dew,
Last night God's might was working late, all things are now as new.
