Why Are Americaís Churches Out Of Touch With Reality?

When was the last time your minister, or priest, gave a Biblical explanation for natural disasters, war and other significant events?

If people would be completely honest with themselves, how many would say that going to church is boring? For the hundreds of millions of people who attend on a weekly basis, church has become equivalent to a social club, and offers little real understanding to what is happening around them.

Have you ever wondered why your minister, or priest, doesnít talk about what the Bible says concerning natural disasters, war, social ills and a myriad of other problems in the world? Is it any wonder that God seems so far away in a world that is spinning out of control?

Perhaps you have given little thought to what you have just read. After all, if you are hearing a normal sermon on any given Sunday morning, you have basically become accustomed to a 15 or 20 minute message. A general scripture is basically the verse of the week. Statements from the pulpit are usually on love, accepting Jesus in your heart, or how to get along with your mate or neighbor. Doesnít this seem rather out of touch with the real world when you seriously look at what is going on around you?

If you were to ask your minister, or priest, why God allowed 9-11, what would he say? Or what would he say if you asked why a loving God would allow so many people to die from wars, famine, disease and a host of other catastrophic events around the world? Why is murder, divorce and juvenile delinquency a daily fact of life in America? Does your minister, or priest, know answers in a world that is deteriorating daily?

Either there is a God, and the Bible is His handbook for every man woman and child, or it is equivalent to any other book that can be purchased. Tragically, the very religious leaders who should be providing the answers to the really important questions in life are not offering solutions because they themselves do not understand what the Bible really says.

Why isnít Matthew 24, Mark 13, or Luke 21 mentioned as the very chapters which speak of end time events that will affect every single person on earth--and yes--even America? The Bible actually says in Matthew 24:22 that if God doesnít intervene, not a single man, woman or child would survive. But have you heard this mentioned on any given Sunday?

The 3rd anniversary of 9-11 has come and gone, but did your local minister, or priest, explain why the event happened? Have you ever asked him what he believes is the reason why God allowed terrorists to strike America, and is it backed by proof from the Bible? If the religious leaders across America were really honest with themselves, they would admit they simply donít know.

An Open Letter To Americaís Clergy

As prophesied events start affecting members of your church, will you have the answers needed?

I know that few religious leaders will appreciate what I have written, but hundreds of millions of lives are about to be affected by events spoken of in the Bible. Even though America is not presently experiencing events prophesied in the both the Old and New Testament, they will happen with absolute certainty.

Ministers and priests in churches across the United States will soon be receiving a wakeup call. Bible prophecy speaks volumes when it comes to what is going to happen to America. Little does the clergy realize, however, how grossly unprepared they are for a time ahead when members of their congregations will start asking why they werenít warned ahead of time.

Isnít it strange that the United States is the largest Christian nation in the world, and yet millions of churchgoers, and the clergy, do not have a clue as to where America is mentioned in the Bible?

The little nation of Israel is believed to be the focus of Biblical events, and yet why is America not considered in the scheme of things? Could it be that ministers and priests alike, in thousands of churches across the United States, simply do not know? A greater question is, would they be willing to tell members of their congregations if they did?

The Old Testament is viewed as out of date--let alone the New Testament--which is mentioned only when speaking about the person of Christ, but not His true message. Instead, sermons on any given Sunday are repeats of what was said in the last 5, 10, or 25 years. Is it any wonder that teenagers and adults do not relate to what is stated in the average church in America? Religion has simply become a formality in a world that is becoming increasingly dangerous.

The United States is mentioned in the Bible. True Biblical scholars have verified it as fact, but many in the clergy simply have never known it, or do not believe it is possible. This is one of the greatest mistakes that could be made.

Genesis 48:17-20 identifies the United States, Canada and the British descended peoples. America is "Manasseh." Canada and Britain are "Ephraim." The two most significant chapters in the Bible that explains what's ahead are Leviticus 26 and Deuteronomy 28. Both books speak of what is happening today, and what is going to happen in the days ahead. They explain what will result if God is obeyed, and the consequences for rejecting Him.

If Americaís clergy continue to preach the same worn out message, events are going to take hundreds of millions of professing Christians by complete surprise.

As a minister, or priest, what are you going to do when events mentioned in the Bible affect those who attend your church? The clergy in America will soon find out that members will demand answers. What will you tell them?

Could it be that the Bible knows what the condition of churches are in America today?

Isaiah 29:13-"The Lord says: 'These people come near to Me with their mouth and honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me. Their worship of Me is made up only of rules taught by Men.' "
